John Harrison

John Harrison has degrees in science and economics and is a member of many
organisations. Apart from running a large accountancy/consulting practice (John
Harrison Accountants) he has had experience as a geochemist (exploration and
minerals separation) and in engineering and has been responsible for a number of
innovations including the tech tendon method of pre stressing. John is managing
director and chairman of TecEco Pty. Ltd. and best known for the invention of
TecEco cements including Eco-Cement which because it sets by absorbing CO2 has
attracted significant global interest.

Mark S. Kuhar is the former editor-in-chief of, and is a current contributor to Pit & Quarry magazine,
the leading aggregates publication in the United States. He has covered the aggregates industry for almost 20 years.
A former winner of the Construction Writers Association Robert F. Boger Award for Editorials,
he has also worked on Concrete and Portable Plants & Equipment magazines.

Ken Day
Ken describes himself as "an evangelistic concrete technologist" and says this
means that concrete technology is his religion and he wanders around the world
preaching it to anyone who will listen. Actually Ken is more specialised than
that. His expertise is mainly in mix design, quality control and specification -
although he has been a consulting structural engineer, a university lecturer, a
precast and prestressed concrete producer, and a general investigator and legal
expert witness of defective concrete.
